Bad service & total inability to resolve a problem

During our house build we have dealt with many contractors and suppliers - however Swartland Windows & Doors takes the cake!

We were initially thrilled with our 'Ready to Fit' window frame order in their top of the range 'Cape Culture' category. However, a factory error of using clear glass (instead of obscure glass) on our bathroom windows has resulted in a 4 week delay in our building schedule, together with associated spiraling contractor expenses, many false promises and innumerable emails, phone calls and site visits.

To cut a long story short we have rejected the two frames no less than FIVE times and today we are still sitting with an unsatisfactory product. Swartland are incapable of correcting their own mistake, have attempted to re-work the windows on several occasions (making the frames look second hand) and now, having finally agreed to supply new frames, the built in burglar-guarding that we paid for is absent.

I am now claiming financial compensation.

(I would hasten to add that I have never registered a complaint on 'hellopeter' before, but such bad service should not be rewarded. Buyer beware!)
