We have a SunTank solar geyser - unfortunately. The product has been poor with the panels rupturing and constant leakage of the glycol. When the panels last failed SunTank insisted on their callout/service fee before they would look into it but promised to return the fee if it was a warranty issue. It was a warranty issue but SunTank refused to return the fee.
Some months later the element failed in the geyser. SunTank agreed to replace the element if I paid for the element and called it quits on the service fee. And that's what happened. However, today, only 5 months later, the element has failed again. SunTank accept the element is under warranty and will replace the R200 element if I pay them a R750 call out fee...!!
Is this even legal??
