My pool pump was drawing air so I called on Pool Renovators to advise and fix the problem. The told me I need a sand filter change. At the same time I had a ball valve installed.
Job done - my pool pump still draws exactly the same amount of air - nothing was fixed and I wasted my money. To make it worse, the ball valve was also damaged during the installation in such a way that the valve was very tight when turning on or off. Needless to say it broke 11 months later. Too bad the manufacturers warranty is only 6 months - except the problem was due to damage during installation.
I arranged for somebody to come out and fix it - we arranged a set time: Friday at 12:30. When the time came nobody showed up. I phoned the office and they told me they are too busy to come out. (Thanks for phoning to let me know?!)
In the end I had another company come and fix my problem. They also replaced the kreepy and I have no more air in my pump.
As for pool renovators - stay away from these guys, they do not run an honest service and their prices are bloated.
