I hired the above contract last year October to build me a additional structure in my yard. They provided a quote of material plus labour. Our agreement was that i will pay the material fees upfront and then labour fees as the building progress. And they promised to lodge the building with NHBRC i did pay
they started building mid Nov with a deadline of 6weeks and everything went okay until they had issues with the capenter who came back after jan school holidays. They started they painting job and did not finish they run out of paint and requested that i pay labour fees for paint upfont which was R3026. I drew up an agreement with the list of things that they still needed to finish and rather oustanding that includes them paying the outstanding wages to the Laboures they hired before i pay this money to them. The did not sign that document and then came to concluded that they will raise the funds.
They dissapeared everytime coming up with excuses of raising the funds, I got NHBRC involved to realise that they did not lodge the building with them. Worse they kept promise the NHBRC that they will contact me and to this day they did not. Builders like this a STAY AWAY FROM THEM
