I am NOT a specialist in building pools, and for this reason I hired MacD designer pools, a architect, engineer and a builder from the start of this project in 2011/2012.
MacD was consulted on ever step of the way.
It was their decision, to decide what needs marble, epoxy or waterproofing and when & how it should be applied.
For this very reason we hired MacD at a cost of R137 000.00, as the "pool specialist", it was their responsibly to decide how the finishing should take place.
After 1 year, the Tiles & Marble detached from the waterproofing.

Their tiler told me, that the keycoat was not applied by MacD's marblelite team to the waterproofing, which is why the marble and tiles did not grip, and came loose.

I strongly advise against hiring MacD, as pool specialist, as they do NOT except responsibility for defective work.
