Hucryn Construction did some minor painting and paving work and garage door sanding at our home. May I start by saying Gerhard's website and email signature prominently display that he is a member of the Master Builders Association Gauteng. However, Mr Wesley Soutter (MBA Director) confirms this is NOT the case and Hucryn has been previously advised to remove the logo. Our paving has been left in a mess, with cement splashed across the bricks and up the wall. We were assured the paving would wash clean but that cement won't budge. The condition of our garage door is terrible. One can clearly see the old varnish patches, which haven't been sanded properly. Gerhard demanded payment on the same day (even though his conditions state that we have 24 hours to pay) and threatened to physically remove the laminated flooring, if we disputed the work and payment due. When one paints a bathroom, does one not take the trouble to remove the toilet cistern cover and paint behind there? Apparently not. He never delivers the paint he promised to deliver and then ignores my attempts to contact him. "If you want to complain to whoever, that's fine" he writes to me on email. AVOID PEOPLE!
