Europcar charges for missing hubcap

In Feb my wife and I went down to cpt for a week and rented a car from Europcar. On Valentines day, we were walking back to the car, when we heard someone driving into it. Luckily we saw what happened and got the drivers details. There was damage to the front passenger side door. We took the car back to Europcar, filled in the claim report and they said we have to exchange it. I took photos of the car when I dropped it off. When we got the invoice for the accident, it included an extra charge for a hubcap. There was no damage to the hubcap from the accident. And I have pictures as proof when I dropped the car off at Europcar in cpt cbd. When trying to follow up, I dont get any response. I've asked for them to remove the hubcap from the claim, and even sent them the pictues. And after several requests for the inspection report on the day we dropped the car off, stating that the hubcap was missing, I still dont get feedback. The third party is willing to pay for the damage, but obviously won't pay for the hubcap. So even if I don't get a refund, let this act as a warning to anyone else who wants to rent a car through Europcar.
