I arranged with Peter's transport to move my goods on the 1st March 2013. I received an initial quote and then requested that someone come out to have a look at everything that needs to be transported, which they did and amended the original accordingly (the second quote was higher than the 1st), which I accepted and paid the deposit. I also specifically requested a 2 ton truck as this was the limitation for offloading at the place I was moving. When we arrived at my new place, the 8 ton truck could not fit in, I received a call from Peter requesting another R750 as they would now have to park outside the complex and carry everything in. I accepted this as I had no alternative. At around 4.30pm, when the guys finished unpacking, I received another call from Peter for an additional R750 and the reason was that the delivery guys worked the entire day! This was pure extortion in my opinion. I asked for an inspection prior to the quote. I was also told that they would come out the day before to wrap up specific items, but they only arrived on the day of the move. They wasted 2 hours wrapping up stuff and now I had to pay an additional R750. I will not be doing business with Peters.
