Only replace dont care if it works as it should

I took my Nissan Qashqai for a boot lock issue which they replaced. After it was fixed the boot did not close as it should and you have to slam the boot which I was told "because it was a heavy boot". Fantastic professional feedback out of a manual?

When I challenged this by saying I will get a professional opinion I was frowned upon saying that I am saying they did unprofessional work. I questioned the operation not the workmanship which may have been professionally done, but its not working as it should. Even when you open the boot, it "jumps" from the pressure after you have pressed the button, a "Heavy Boot" will surely not jump.

I was then told they just replace the part and there is nothing else they can do. They wont be seeing me ever again if that is the case.
