I took my car in for a roadworthy test at DEKRA Centurion. As the car is a 1991 model it still had the old pink registration documents and had to apply for a duplicate registration form and that the process would take approximately 5 weeks. DEKRA went ahead and did the roadworthy test and pointed out that the brakes needed attention and that I can bring the car back once they received the duplicate registration papers and test the car again. Last week I received my duplicate registration form and I took the car back to DEKRA where I was told that the first test expired and I will have to pay again to get the car tested. 1- Why did they charged me money to test the car as they know the test will expire before I get the duplicate documents? 2- Why do they want to charge me again to do the roadworthy test? So much for the AA giving their name to DEKRA as this company has no honour and employs dishonest people that wants to your money! I left DEKRA and found another company based in Menlyn, who assisted me on the spot with everything that was needed to be done all within one hour! That is more than enough proof that DEKRA was trying to pull the wool over my eyes!
