Two years ago I had all four shocks on my wife's car changed. The vehicle only does 6 to 7 thousand kilos per year. After 7 thousand the break fluid line broke off behind the right rear wheel hub and was repaired. 6 thousand later the break fluid line broke off behind the left rear wheel hub. I investigated and found that on none of the four wheels were the brake fluid lines secured to the shock absorbers and the movement of the cars suspension was transferred directly onto the steel pipes causing them to break. The result is total brake failure. In the case of the rear suspension the left and right shocks are fitted the wrong way around so that the mounting plated faces away from the pipes that should be secured to them. I went back to the dealer and was told that If I can not produce the original Invoice, they are not prepared to do anything about it.
