At then end of August 2013 I imported a lamp from the UK for which I paid import duty through Linex. When I received the lamp, it was damaged and I returned it immediately (sent it back with the courier without accepting delivery). I have contacted Stuart Austin at Linex on various occasions since then to enquire about a refund on the import tax seeing as I returned the product and it was damaged during delivery that was organised by them. Initially he said he would investigate and let me know. Now he just ignores my correspondence. I want a resolution of this matter. I should not have to pay import tax on something that was damaged during delivery by Linex and/or their subcontracted couriers.
