I hired a car through HONK for 7 days in Cape Town in September this year. This was all done online and the renting agents selected were Hertz. I paid the deposit using my credit card of R 1508.92 on the day I got confirmation of who the rental agents were going to be. I was then informed that this would be refunded to me when the car was returned. On collection of the vehicle at CT international Airport I was asked to pay another R 1268.00. This was the actual cost of hiring the car for the 7 days including 200km per day free. The actual billing that has been processed on my credit card by Hertz is R 2408.00, R 948.44 and R 220.00. When I called them to ask what they were doing, I was told it was not them and to contact CarTrawler on 003531218328. As I hired the vehicle through HONK, I feel it is their responsibility to sort this mess out and refund me accordingly. I am still waiting for an explanation and proof of exactly what they are taking payment for. I have now reported them to my card division and blocked the card. Don't ever use them!! Cheaper is not always the answer!!
