No Delivery and with holding our property

Tom O'Boyle provided us with a very competitive quote to move family heirlooms to America in April which we accepted. Only after he had received full payment and collected our furniture, did he mention that it could take up to 3 months before the furniture was actually shipped depending on when the container was full. In August, after numerous unanswered emails, he emailed to say that the shipment left on 4th Sept. On 15 Oct, he finally admitted that the shipment had not yet left.
we asked for a refund and for the furniture back.
He as said that we will now have to pay storage and lose most of the money (R28640.00) since they have put a lot of work into trying to arrange a shipment.,!
No doubt he will reply to this with a sweet, kind and understanding message!

Aran International Removals & Storage collected the goods for delivery on 29 September 2021 after which I settled their account in full, and delivery was promised within 5 to 7 working days. The delivery from a subcontracting company, arrived with the delivery on 2 November 2021, 32 days later. The subcontractor refused to offload as they have not been paid yet. Tom from Aran informed me that the subcontractor will be paid on arrival but after contacting him for proof of payment, he informed me to phone the SAPS. To get my goods offloaded, I had to pay the subcontractor on behalf of Aran International, for which I am still awaiting a refund. This is total unacceptable business ethics from this company.
