We bought 2 Tata Telcolines in 2006/2007. The one had 2 engines replaced the other 3 . The biggest problem was that everytime they blew an engine the vehicle stood for months while they waited for new engines. We vowed never ever to buy another Tata. Then they launched the Xenon and at the launch we were assured by one of the top brass from Tata head office that what had happened in the past would never happen again so we bought a Tata Xenon double cab. 100, 000 km no problems. Then they started. When we took it in to Tata Table View for the power steering we were told that it would cost us R10, 000-00 After 2 weeks of up and down they found out that we had taken out an extended gaurenteee when we had purchased the vehicle s the y went ahead and fixed the power steering, another 2 weeks because parts had to be found. Once the power steering was repaired they suddenly found that the relay on the alternater had blown. It was not like that when we brought the vehicle in. After another 2 weeks they advise us they cannot find a relay so we should pay R6, 000.00 for a new alternater. The warentee people will not pay. 6 weeks down the line we don't have our vehicle
