Damaged bicycle in transit with DHL

I have send my mountain bike from India with a agent by name of Blue Dart. This agent use DHL as a preferred courier. With this well known name i was very happy to trust my belongings to them. I did send two bicycles and other personal belongings with the courier from India to South Africa. My belongings was delayed because of the misunderstanding by DHL that it was used personal things, so it was send to customs for import tax. After six weeks or so my belongings was delivered at my house.
When i unwrapped it I found that the frame of my bicycle was bend. I then contacted DHL explaining my damages. They requested photos of the damaged bicycle, which I send to them. I explained that in my payment the insurance for damages was included. DHL responded up to the point where they told me they are busy with the agent in India. After that nothing happened and get no reply on my request.
I then started to look for someone who can repair the bicycle, a lot of businesses could not help me. last week Cycle Lab in Boksburg took my bike but told me it is damaged beyond repair. I then contacted my insurance for a claim, but with all this delay it took more than 60 days, and I cannot claim.
