I had three rentals with Imperial group while visiting South Africa. First rental was at Europcar OR Tambo, car was refueled at the Engen at the airport but still I was charged R30, 00. Second was at Tempest PE Airport, car was again refueled. Again I was charged, this time R27, 40. The third rental was at Europcar at Cape Town City location. The car was refueled at the Shell one block from the rental location. Again I was charged R61, 58. In all instances I was assured that if I refueled the car myself I would not be charged. These may be small amounts but start adding them up by all rental agreements and the money to the bottom line is phenomenal. What a. The only way these cars could not have had fuel in them was by them driving to the fuel station or them using the cars after they were returned - but on three agreements in different cities? This seems more like a billing than a rental location issue. Lovely lasting tourism feeling of SA...
