Renault South Africa
Who does the CPA protect?

Bought new Renault Sandero in 2010. Problems from start. At 1032km top shock mountings collapsed and replaced. Various parts replaced to no avail. Renault SA requested specialist technician to inspect. Found part not fitted when assembled and no provision made for part. When we pressed for replacement Renault SA requested 2nd inspection and this timethe same technician said they will fit the part (HOW?). The car is now due for its SIXTH replacement of shocks. We feel the car was defective from the start and is unsafe and not roadworthy. Renault refuses to replace and says as per CPA the MANUFACTURER reserves the right to repair until unreparable. We have lost confidence in the car and limit our trips to short distances. So much for a new car!
