I have my VW in for repairs at Ger-Matic, as it is a VW approved panel beater. One repair is an insurance repair, and the other tiny dent is a private repair. Santam said that what was quoted on the Insurance repair was ridiculous, and they approved the repair for a fraction of original quote. The private repair of a tiny dent and paint chip has no hidden damage or latent defects, but now the owner of Ger-Matic refuses to honour the quotation. This reflects very poorly on the company, and VW for recommending panel beaters like this.
