Total South Africa
Petrol cap misplaced

I went to Total garage Ridge Road, on Tuesday the 23rd July 2013 to fill up petrol for R100. Nomvula (petrol attendant) assisted me and forgot to close my petrol tank. While driving home I noticed that my petrol tank lid was open. I called the garage from my Bluetooth handsfree system & spoke to Rashid (manager) to report this matter. He asked me if the cap was missing and I told him that I was not sure as I did not have time to check I just stopped on the side of the road to close the lid as the whole car was smelling of petrol. He promised to give me a call the next day for follow up & he didn't, and I also forgot to check if the cap was there. Shockingly my petrol gauge was showing empty on Friday the 26th July, however I always spend R100 weekly on fuel due to short distance between my office & my house & I know that petrol flies if the tank is not properly closed. I went to another garage in my area & the petrol attendant asked me where my cap was, that's when I recalled that it must have been misplaced on Tuesday at Total garage Ridge road. I filled more petrol to drive 22km to Rashid. He did not want to listen to me, but he remembered that I called on Tuesday to report this
