During June of 2012 I bought a 2011 Discovery 4 SDV6 S from an independent dealer in Pretoria - the only reason for this because they offered a better trade value on the then existing vehicle.
I had issues with the battery running flat and got Landrover assist to come and help and they jump started the vehicle - as soon as I left for the office I noticed the engine warning light on - immediately phoned my local Land Rover dealer who said the vehicle must be towed to them - again arranged this through Land Rover Assist.
Got the vehicle back with a new battery fitted and noticed a week or so after that that the right hand main light were not working.
Took it back and here my issues started - 3 months later they informed this morning that they will not authorise the replacement because the light were different to the other one fitted to the vehicle though still an original Land Rover part though they cannot on their system determine that it has been replaced by a dealer.
So I am left with a hefty bill to replace the whole light fitting even though only the main light faulty and wondering about the
