Up until the following incident, I had always had excellent service with Rocco at Baumans. In 2012 I left my son's motorcycle with annemarie at Baumans to sell, on a commision basis. On 23/01/2013 I popped in & Annemarie told me the motorcycle was sold & she'd pay over my money later that day or the next. On 27 & 28 January I phoned again to follow up on the payment transfer. Annemarie was "busy" with a customer and did not phone back. On 30 Janaury I again sent an e-mail & fax re the payment - no response. On 5 February I sent a letter/ E-mail, threatening newspapers/ Hello Peter and the money was paid over the next day. In April I received a renewal notice for the motorcycle licence. Beginning June, when my son wanted to renew his bakkie licence, he was told he 1st has to pay the licence due on the motorcycle. Annemarie's only response to my query as to why the bike had not been reregistered was that I was "rude" in my letter of 5 Feb and that she has no control over whether the new owner registers the bike or not. At my cost we now have to obtain a duplicate registration document I de-register the bike. Annemarie needs to learn about customer service!
