Rented a car from Lanseria airport on the 11th June 2013, upon returning when the car was inspected by europcar they stated a few tiny scratches were new and not there when I originally picked up the car. I contested this as I never reversed the car onto any obstruction and they scratches were not there when I picked up the car. I completed a form contesting the scratches and two weeks later my deposit was still not returned. The worst is I had to phone Europcar for them to tell me my deposit of ZAR9 000 was being withheld for a damage claim. I am small business and can't afford to have ZAR9 000 withheld from my business account.
Now they have informed me that they will decide if I am at fault or not and then take action of charging me for the damage or releasing the deposit.
