In January 2013 I purchased a preowned 120D from Mauritz Luus. In the 5 months I've had the car, I've had peace of mind that everything was right and in order with the vehicle.
On the 9th of June I walked out to my car and was shocked to see the tyre completely flat and against the rim - unable to drive it anywhere to get it fixed.
I was told that the car comes with run-flat tyres when I bought it (there were 2 brands fitted on inspection), so it was not supplied with a spare wheel, jack or wheel spanner. I made a plan to get the tyre fixed and able to drive. I couldn't get the wheel off for the guy who did the repairs because there was no key for the lock nut in my boot either.
This was the first time I ever needed to take a wheel off, or had a puncture on the rear that deflated as far as it did.
On Monday 10th June I emailed the dealership and told them of the problem. I got no reply and escalated it to BMW the next day. After taking my car in for inspection, the eventual response was that they would pay for 1 tyre and I should pay for the other. Even after sending photos of my car fitted with the wrong tyres on their showroom floor, they deny it and question my honesty.
