Imperial Select Multi Franchise
Imperials dishonest shirking of responsibilities

In Feb 2011, I bought a new Ssangyong Rexton 270Xdi from, included a 3 year/60000 motor plan. Since I bought the vehicle, including all extras for R486000.00, Imperial Select sold the Ssangyong Franchise to the McCarthy Group. I'm now in this position with my vehicle which is now 25 months old, have 49000km on the odometer, and between Imperial/McCarthy, no one wants to service my vehicle. Imperial's argument is that Ssangyong is sold to McCarthy, and McCarthy's argument is that they only service vehicles which was bought from them after the take-over. Imperial took R486000 from me, and now am left in the dark - with the warranty/motor plan all null and void. Where do I go to from here?
I'm getting really annoyed with Imperial's dishonest way in treating customers after they took my money - this is going on for more than a year now. I'm also speechless about the fact that this deal in selling Ssangyong to McCarthy was done without informing existing customers with running motorplans. I found this out when trying to arrange for a service 10 months ago, again 5 months ago, and now again. VIN Number is: KPTH0B1FS7P255962
