We've been dealing with Mercedes, Umhlanga branch. My mother's vehicle, a 2008, Mercedes B200 Turbo, Engine number: 26698030475390, less than 68 000km of the clock.
We've had to replace the gearbox recently, but that is not the problem. The vehicle has an engine problem since it came back from the gearbox repairs. When you accelerate from a stand still position, like pull away at a traffic light of stop sign, the vehicle cuts out and the ESP! light comes on. When I say the vehicle cuts out I mean, there is no power for the vehicle to move forward, you need to pull to the side of the road, switch the vehicle off and restart it again. How many accidents could have been caused.
We've been trying to get this problem fixed for the past 3 months. The vehicle has gone in for repairs to the Umhlanga Workshop 4 times, for the same problem. And AGAIN, today the vehicle has done it again. We've had enough of this service, we've had enough of this vehicle not being fixed. It's an absolute disgrace that you cant fix a problem after 4 times.
This is unacceptable and we will try our best to take this matter further, because you should be named and shamed!!
