We took our car in for valve stem seal repair. After they have stripped the engine they phoned me to inform me that the the engine will be needing an overhaul. I agreed because they gave me an one year guarantee. After quoting me R11000.00 i paid a R5000.00 deposit. With big head aches, I waited about five weeks. Every time with excuses that the engineering works is keeping it behind schedule.
After 5 weeks I got the car back and paid the R6000.00 balance. They informed me that there will be an outstanding amount of R1200.00 because of a fuel pump replacement. There was nothing wrong with it when I took the car in the first time. After 500 km the car started blowing through the manifold. Oil was dripping from the tappet cover and the fuel consumption was 3-4km/liter. After phoning and complaining and being sworn at I took out the spark plugs, to find that three different spark plugs were fitted. Using 5liters of oil every three weeks. And now the car has finally broken down after only 3500km.
