I bought a secondhand Audi A4 from Reeds in June/July 2011. Since moved to Gauteng and today went to a dealer in PTA to have Audi evaluated for possible trade in on a new vehicle. After close inspection the salesman suspected that the car was in an accident and got the HPI report (all vehicles have a compulsary history at TransUnion).
It turns out the Audi was in 2 accidents prior me buying it.
The insurance assessments:
2009/10/03 - R31 079.16
2010/09/25 - R193 539.16
Total R224 618.32
Shocking considering I paid R225 000
This has diminished my chances of trading or selling the car for anywhere close to what I otherwise would have been able to. With the G2 114 point check promise I bought the car with confidence, to my detriment.
Sent an e-mail earlier today to Craig and Kevin, optimistic for positive feedback.
Very disappointed.
