I organised an engagement party for 40 people at Dros Atterbury over the weekend. The reason for choosing Dros was because of the current R99.95 special, where you get a complimentary liqueur glass with your meal. This was in order to keep all the glasses as a souvenir of the engagement party.
When asked where our glasses are, after ordering, the waiter and manager told us they don't have any left and that it is NOT HIS PROBLEM because we should have asked before we came!!! Then WHY are there a huge poster outside the Dros advertising the special WITH the free glass?! This is blatant false advertising and is a serious offence according to the CPA! I will not let this go and I expect Dros to bring me the glasses for all the people!
I have obtained all the slips from the manager, who ensured me that I am wasting my time, since Dros will never help me with this. This special, which is advertised on the Dros website and both inside and outside Dros Atterbury is a big and also the only reason why we went to Dros to celebrate the engagement - now everyone is at Dros for the blatant false advertising and I expect Dros to supply me with what was promised in the advertisement!
