Today we had the misfortune of treating ourselves to a spur evening out at the spur in hazyview R40, as we are on holiday from Cape Town
First my wife ordered the Spur set menu, from the advertising card that was on the table, these cards were on several tables, only to be told that this special had finished yesterday, when my wife asked why the cards were still on the table, the waiter replied it says on the card FESTIVE SPECIALS and it is finished, they did not remove any cards from any of the tables, which is false advertising
The restaurant was short staffed, the tables were not cleared after people had left, where we were sitting there were 8 tables, four had been used and not cleared, 2 had not been used and 2 were in use, there was more flies in the restaurant than any braai park I have visited
Needless to say after we had finished the starter we asked for the bill and left HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALSO SPUR
