On the 23rd of december, my wife and myself attempted to eat at maxi's for the second time. The first time, about a year ago, we went to cape gate maxi's and was seated, the restaurant was almost empty, yet we waited for about 20 minutes just to receive no service, so we left. On the 23rd of december we decided to try maxi's at the paarl mall. We were quickly seated and given menu's. I saw a R51 special for a burger, chips and drink. My wife and myself both ordered the special, and the waitress left, only to come back in about 1 minute, to tell us the special is for taske-aways only, and we are not allowed to eat that in their restaurant. I find is a really strange business practice. I can buy their food, but not eat it in their restaurant. So we got up and went to steers just next door.
