Bad service and audacity to lay a charge

I just want to express my disappointmen in the way Nandos Vincent staff conduct themselves, including the manager. We arrived at Nandos at about 21:15 on Sunday, 15 December. We met friends in the shop & we chatted to them and I proceeded to the POS to order while still talking to them. I placed an order and paid and continued with the conversation. After 20-25 minutes, i asked what is taking so long with our order and i was asked for a slip and unfortunately didn't have it but could recall the salad from my order. The cashier said we won't get the order if we don't have the slip, i told i don't remember getting the slip because i had not been anywhere except the bathroom which. I checked in my wallet and I couldn't find the slip. I asked for a manager who then said we'll have to wait until all the orders have been taken which will be when the shop is closed. That is when my friend joined in on the conversation and asked what was happening and i told him. The manager walked away and he followed her and all the staff. Police were called & we left with no food and money. 2 days later police are looking for us for assaulting the manager... Why didn't she had us arrested then?
