My family and many of our friends are regular customers at the Rocky Peak Spur in Alberton. I contacted them today to make a reservation for 20 people for my daughter's birthday (it is her favourite restaurant). I was told that they do not take bookings for a Friday evening and that it's a first come first serve basis. They said they could not help us, regardless of whether it's a birthday party or not or whether we are regular customers or not. I explained that we have small children and if we do not book a table, what are we to do if we arrive and there is no space. My child's birthday will be ruined! I am furious. The lady had absolutely no concern whatsoever, did not even try to assist or make any kind of plan considering the large group of people and that it is a special occasion. This is a ridiculous policy!!! I will never return to this Spur and will make sure that none of our family or friends do either (all of whom frequent the Spur at least once per week)! When I told the lady this, she was not at all bothered and said that it was my choice to go elsewhere! Disgusting attitude!!! AND we now have no alternative to go for my child's birthday that is child friendly!
