I had been asked by the front door waitress to be seated at the front of the restaurant so that our waiter would take my girlfriend and I to our table. After waiting for approximately 5 minutes, I had asked her to let me know when a waiter will be able to take us to our table. She pointed to the waiter at the first table and said that the waiter is currently cleaning the table.
I said not a problem and continued to wait for a few more minutes. I then saw the table being occupied by another group of people.
I then spoke to the manager to advise him of the situation and that I was deeply dissatisfied. He had understood my concern. However, when I spoke to the front waitress, she defended the situation in a rude manner in front of the manager!
Basically, she showed me a form indicating that the group of people was in the queue ahead of me. I explained that was not a problem but then why mislead me by showing me the front table and the waiter there? Why wasn't I given the form to fill in so that I may also join the queue? She defended the issue with no indication of actually listening to how she had mislead me and that she acted in a disorganized manner.
