Today, I placed an order on the Mr Delivery website. One of the payment options is Credit Card, which I used and was surprised to find out that instead of the card being processed online via a payment gateway, the details was instead passed directly along to the branch the order was placed.
How do I know this. Because they called me to confirm the details.
Mr Delivery for one this is non-compliant with online payment systems.
Secondly, you have now placed my accounts at risk as you have provided Personal information without my permission. This is against Protection of Personal Information Act.
Thirdly, do you have any idea the risks involved with providing credit card details openly like you have done?
Lastly, you also have a rule that the credit card needs to be present and an image taken by the driver. Again, exposing personal details.
The many people involved in this supply chain, now has my full name, my home address, my credit and also an impression of the credit card. If you are blind not to see the risk here, you should not be in business!
A suggestion, there are many credit card gateways available to perform online transactions! Use them, or if you need help. Ask me.
