Unnknown debit orde

I realised on Friday that I had a debit order of R99.99 taken off my account. On Saturday the 27 April I went to the branch to inquire only to find that the debit has been going off from February on the 25th and none of my debit does not go off on that date since am only paid last day of the month. The branch told me the debit cannot be reversed until head office or some complaint department is emailed. I do not have faith in banking in this country. What kind of bank allow such debit without my signature and the 25th should have rang a bell. Please assist
