I have been attempting to claim from insurance for my ipad from FNB since 18 March.
Even though I requested insurance, I had none and wasnt charged for any. No one could find my policy details.
It has been nothing but a frustrating run around with emails and phone calls to both claims and complaints divisions at both CIB and FNB. When I am eventually responded to, it's to ask for information submitted time and again.
All I was provided with was a two page policy wording that stated the excess was 10% of the value of the device at a minimum of R500.
Now I'm told my claim is being processed, but I have no idea what my policy details are and have received no word on when I will be debited and by how much. I've also been informed that my excess with be "around R700 plus R1500 for claiming within six months".
I have no knowledge of this additional excess. No knowledge of anything to do with my policy and yet a claim is being processed? The dealings I've had with this company, which has included several emails to both claims and complaints and many phonecalls, thus far are disgraceful.
