Absa Border Letter Nightmare

I gathered all relevant documentation to request a border letter from Absa to cross the border. After sending everything through I got a response to send it 5 days prior to departure. In my experience there is ALWAYS a delay with banks, hence being proactive and getting documentation in order now. I have been trying for 2 hours to contact the call centre to find out why they can't issue me the letter ahead of time since my trip cannot be postpones for the simple reason that I am attending a specific event. I went onto Wesbank's website and their process looks much easier, so my questions is, would Absa like me to move to Wesbank or walk to my destination and leave my car at the border. In regard to statement on always some delay, I had to follow up on a Paid up letter this morning that was suppose to be sent to me already, so once again, always some delay. Absa please call me because I can't get hold of you.
