I make inter account transfers via my internet banking on a monthly basis but have never known Standard Bank to charge such high finance charges until I made a inter account transfer of R3000 into my credit account from my cheque account last month and Standard Bank charged me R306 as a finance charge!!!
Since when are we charged more than 10% of the amount we are transferring when we are the ones physically doing the transferring ourselves??!! Its internet banking - I didn't go into the bank and ask a teller to do it - I DID IT!!!
Why is the fee not a set fee? Why does it have to be more than 10%?!
R306 is a lot of money to take from me or any consumer for 1 single transfer! That is ridiculous!! There has to be a cap on these charges shouldn't there???
I will not accept such a high charge on inter account transfers if its via internet banking - this service is supposed to help us as consumers manage our money - how am I to do that if Standard Bank is taking it away??
Standard Bank are for trying to do this to customers who manage their money via internet banking.
I demand that Standard Bank have this relooked and get back to me asap - I expect some kind of reverse credit.
