OUTSURANCE Rerate Notification

On 26/02/13, I received an email from [Email Removed] with regards to a "re-rate" notification, re-rate... really why not just call it a price increase! I replied to this e-mail on the same day stating that I am not happy with the 30% increase in the building premium from R704.62 to R915.99!
Subsequently I received 2 x phone calls from Outsurance wanting to sell me life cover to which I stated I would only consider once they looked into the exorbitant increase of 30%. To date I have not received any comment from Outsurance. Today 22/04/13 I cancelled the insurance on one of my vehicles as it was sold and asked if there was any response regarding my previous complaint. I was then passed onto a "supervisor" who would advise me. According to her there was nothing she could do, because I (the client) should have phoned in straight away upon receiving the e-mail to query this increase... I should not have sent an e-mail (in this day and age!!).. ironic that Outsurance can push your building premium up by 30% via an e-mail and without calling, but as a client I can't respond in writing by e-mail to express my discontent with a price increase because this would simply be ignored!
