No Informing clients of outstanding documents

I have had a policy with Virgin Insurance since December last year, never missed a payment. When I took it for inspection to a glasfit in Midrand I was told that they do not do Virgin Insurance inspection anymore which I was left with nowhere to find another one after I called the insurance to inform. I called on 17.04.2013 to amend some details on my insurance policy and only then they tell me that my vehicle is still not insured because they have not received an inspection document. I asked them so what would have happened if I was involved in an accident, she told me that they would have paid out only to the 3rd party, even if I was paying the full premium since December.
