I am with AIG for more than 10 years and have submiited a few hospital claims. According to them it takes 7 - 14 days for hospital claims to pay out. Watch out - if you are lucky you can wait 2 months but prepare yourself for 3 months after fights and submission of your claim about 3 times, they will tell you that they haven't received the claim and sorry we have a backlog that is why it take so long! For the past two years they have a backlog with all my claims and I had to fight for at least 2-3 months to get my money. Phoned today after my claim was submitted and receipt of claim confirmed more than a month ago - again they say they haven't received the claim! Next they will tell they have a backlog - too many excuses just not to pay out.
BE WARNED!!! No manager ever available - only Tasmine standing in for the manager, and forget it, she will never phone you back she is very busy!!
