First National Bank
Number port request no done as was agreed

I was contacted by FNB's cellphone contracts in February 2013 to find out if I would be interested in a cell C contract through FNB because I was a smart phone customer. I accepted the offer but stipulated that my existing Vodacom number will have to be ported to cell C as a prerequisite to me accept the contract.

When I contacted cell C last week to verify that the number was ported, after a long conversation with cell C, I found out that FNB have not yet requested the number port. I contacted the Cellphone Contracts department and was told that the voice recording of my conversation with the consultant will have to be reviewed that FNB would respond to with, latest, after 72 hours.

Currently I have a contract, through FNB, with cell C I cannot use because my existing number has not been ported. I have yet to have any feedback from the Cellphone Contracts department; who when I contact them seem unable to deal with the situation.

Cell C informed me that they could process the port a my request but it would cost R270. This is unacceptable to me because FNB should have requested the number port when the contract was applied for by FNB.
