I purchased a property from an insolvent estate from the executor company stabilitas. I have paid the depossit, the tax and the conveyance fees. The property is still not registered as Standard Bank has no settled and released the bond. It has been two and a half years and registration has still not taken place due to this. I have spent huge sums of money maintaining the property which is falling into a state of disrepair. The case has passed from from one department to another, and no one has been able to take a descision on this. It is impossible to obtain any information from Standard Bank on this issue, and also impossible to acquire a person that can discuss the matter. After trying for two years, there is a complete barrier of been able to find out any information. It seems impossible to purchase a property from an estate if Standard bank holds the bond.
This house was on the market for nearly three years with not a single offer. It seems that Standard bank does not care.
