MedipetSA makes a lot of promises on their policy but when it comes to actually claiming, they constantly change what the policy will pay out.
Emails received always say that their "Director" will assess your claim and they will get back to you. What rubbish!
No policy updates are sent out when changes are made to the policy. You will discover changes when you claim.
They change the amount of cover which you qualify for, depending on what/ how much you claim from them
MedipetSA recently offered to increase my premium and reduce cover on chronic medicine??
They offer increase your premiums when you claim too much and they see they are going to be losing on your policy. And then offer less cover.
Their policy is not fair and transparent. They change it as they see fit.
Their website says they cover R25 000 per pet per annum but they try to spread your claims as thin as they possibly can to avoid getting near this limit.
MediPet you cannot adjust your policy schedule as you see fit.
An insurance policy is as good as a legal document and I want the cover which you offered me when I signed up for this policy about 6 years ago! Stop reneging on policy wording.
