Capitec bank assisted with SARS dispute

After filing my 2012 tax return, SARS emailed me a request for documentation as there was an unspecified issue. I found that I could not upload my PDF statements i.e. certificate of interest, on the efling site, as it returned an error so only my own spreadsheets were accepted. A lady from SARS contacted me the next day saying i had under declared my interest by 23K (compared to the figures they have received from my bank) and I need to get Capitec to fix it else within 21 days they would revert to their full amount. After receiving a letter from SARS stating the bank account numbers and the SARS interest amounts I scanned this letter and emailed Capitec client care. 24 hours later Capitec emailed me back a letter confirming the amounts, and that they had contacted a person at SARS and provided me with her details. I am now following this up with this SARS contact to get this issue resolved and thanks to Capitec for their fast response and assistance.
