I applied for a Samsung galaxy s3 on 27th March. I was told I would receive an sms when my application was processed. I received 2 smses on 2 different occasions telling me to submit debit order switching forms in order for my application to be processed. I have been a customer with FNB for over 8 years now so it is not necessary to complete these forms. I was told the matter would be escalated to inform smartphone enquries that I do have debit orders running & for them to process the application. On Monday 8 april I called the call centre asking about the application, I was told the application was successful & I would be hearing from the courier company soon. Today 11 april I received the same sms for debit order switching forms. I called FNB back, the consultant told me I received the sms in error. When I asked him when I would be receiving the device he asked me if had received the confirmation sms from FNB, I did not. He told me he would send another email to the smartphone department to send me a confirmation sms. It does not look like I will receive my phone within the stipulated timeframe of 10-15 working days as it seems like FNB doesn't have a clue what they are doing!
