I have been unfairly listed on experian credit bureau with my ABSA cheque account. This has severely impacted my name and reputation. I had instructed ABSA to cancel my gold cheque account sometime in August2012, after a lengthy chat to them I was advised that I had successfully closed the account and was to make minimum payments of R50 to the account in order for me to get the account up to date. I willingly done so
. After some time a lady had called me to advise that I am still in arrears on my cheque account, this shocked me as I had already instructed the account be closed and was also informed that I successfully done this. The next month my account was still being debited with my debit orders and due to insufficient funds, the debit orders were rejected and I was billed for this. Each rejected debit order amounted to -R135. I am now listed as a bank defaulter. The amount is only -R800. Which I am not responsible for. I have reference numbers for each call and will be more than happy to provide to ABSA when they contact me. ABSA BANK IS BY FAR THE WORST BANK I HAVE EVER USED. I am hoping that this forum will expose the TERRIBLE ethics of ABSA BANK.
