On the 26-03-2013, there were transactions done on my Cheque card to the value of over R5500. I reported it immediately, as I got the SMSs on my cell phone when the transactions took place. My card was blocked and I was told that someone from Standard Bank will call me in the next 3 days.
I called again on the 01-04-2013, because I did not get any feedback. The agent assured me that someone will call me the following day. I did not get any call. I went to the bank today, 08-04-2013, and after waiting in the queue for 30 minutes, I had to go back to work and call them instead.
As I got back to work, there was more done on my credit card this time to the value of around R3000. I called Standard Bank and they stopped the card.
I then spoke to 2 different agents who could not give me any information regarding the progress of what is going on. They put me through to the "correct department", twice, for which I held on the line over 15 minutes each and no one answered.
I need answers! Is Standard Bank not bothered with the money that I have entrusted them with? After all this, I am very tempted to move banks, along with all my accounts, including my home loan.
