Applied for a substitution on my existing home loan. Application stopped because they can't do confirmation of my employment. I phoned my own employer twice to see if there is a problem - I successfully reached the HR department to confirm my own employment. Why can't Standard Bank reach them???
They also said there is NO alternative for doing confirmation of employment - they have to phone the switchboard number and be put through to HR. Surely there should be another way?
